OnePlus 5T release date and price
According to a report by GizmoChina on Monday, just like it did with the OnePlus 3T, the Chinese firm will launch the OnePlus 5T about five months after the original OnePlus 5’s launch. While in the case of the OnePlus 3T the company only changed the processor from the Snapdragon 820 on the OnePlus 3 to a slightly faster Snapdragon 821, there will be more changes between the OnePlus 5 and 5T, the report claims.
OnePlus is reportedly planning to launch an updated flagship smartphone called the OnePlus 5T next month. The smartphone is expected to be the company's first device adopting the a design language with thinner bezels, 18:9 aspect ratio display and higher screen to body ratio. The design leaked in the form of render earlier this week and now another render has made its way to the internet.
This information is revealed by a fresh
render of the phone leaked by Slashleaks. The leaked render shows the
front of the device, with an edge-to-edge display that looks very
similar to what we have seen in the V20 and the V30. Interestingly, the
image also shows that OnePlus 5T may not have the fingerprint sensor on
the front.
the OnePlus 5T will abandon the 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels)
display of the OnePlus 5, and instead use a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160
pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio – something seen in several
recent phones including the LG V30 and the Google Pixel 2 XL that have
minimal bezels
Slashleaks has posted a new render of the upcoming OnePlus 5T depicting its new display design, which seems like a photoshopped version of the existing oneplus 5. This new render showing the front of the device also aligns with previous leaks suggesting that the OnePlus 5 will mimic the design of the Samsung Galaxy S8 series. While the leak confirms the existence of the OnePlus 5T, the render must be taken with a grain of salt.
Finally, the report adds that the Slate Grey variants (which includes
the 8GB RAM model) of the OnePlus 5 are out of stock in several regions
including the UK, which it claims indicates OnePlus is indeed looking at
launching the new model
